Why do so many people not realize that Obama's "57 states" comment was a satirical joke?

You guys who believe he actually thinks that are the real morons. It was so obvious from his pause and the tone of his voice that he was making a joke out of traveling nonstop to a lot of states. It's so obvious to anyone with half a bran that it was a joke. Do you realize that you look silly to believe he was saying what he believed? The guy has a law degree from Harvard....he isn't Sarah Palin...who didn't know that Africa was a continent made up of numerous small countries.
